   You could do that and it may not help. Can i just say i did it all on my own with no help from no one at all. I went cold TURKEY. Yes it was hard but i had to do it,, i came through it and clean 9 years now and i was really bad. My thoughts are with you and i wish you well to what ever you do

   Hypnotism only works if your mind is receptive to it.
   But look at it like this – It couldn’t hurt. What about methadone? Have you seen a doctor? Heroin is major s***, you need major help. Good for you, looking to try to quit it. Good luck.

   First and foremost heroin addiction is a *physical* addiction, and that won’t be cured by hypnotism – you’ll need to take – probably – methodone to alleviate the pain you’ll feel on detox. Once clean, hypnotism may help you stay off of the stuff, but I’d suggest counselling groups in addition.

   not sure if this really will help, but i went to a hypnotist to help stop smoking and he said in the meeting that he has successfully helped heroin addicts quit. the guy i went to c normally advertises in our local paper for weight loss and quit smoking programmes, he travels around the UK so check your local paper to c if he is coming to your area.
   also, if you are in employment, sometimes your company will pay for detox. for more information go and see your Gp or contact narcotic anon- the number is yellow pages.

   your best chance is to go to NA meetings…90 meetings in 90 days, get a sponsor and call him/her
