Jerry Garcia (1^st August 1942 – 9^th August 1995) was an American musician famous for his work with the band the Grateful Dead. Although Jerry Garcia passionately disavowed the role, Garcia was vision by many as the leader or “spokesman” of the group.

Check SIRIUS XM’s Grateful Dead Channel will feature “Jerry Week” in respect of the legendary Grateful Dead frontman Jerry Garcia on the anniversary of Garcia’s birthday August 1 and will end on the anniversary of his death August 9.
