Ok i’ve read The Heroin Diaries, and i’ve read A Million Little Pieces, and the latter made me really interested in this…
Anyone know of any other really good books that deal with heroin addiction?

Recently the AMA has been entertaining the idea that heroin addiction is a disease. I am not sure if I am even surprised, given the medical precedence of labeling alcoholism as a disease.
What do you think
should heroin addiction be considered a disease, just like alcoholism?

My very good friend can’t seem to stop gambling. I read somewhere that this addiction is as bad as a heroin/junkie addiction.

So I just watched Requiem for a Dream AND Trainspotting last night, and i’m really interested in seeing some more movies about heroin addiction, similar to these.
Not The Basketball Diaries, i’m watching that one tonight!

It might have not been an mtv movie, but im not completely sure. All i remember was that it was 3 teens 2 guys and 1 girl. If i can recall, i think both guys died except for the girl. anyone have any ideas?

Am feeling depressed and feeling excessive feeling of sadness and anxiety.

I have a boyfriend who was a heroin addict never had rehab but he was on this addiction for about a year he got locked up went to jail for about 2 weeks i see the difference in him before he was starting to look like a bumb and now hes clean smells good and dresses way better than before not bummy looking is it possible for him to fall back to his addiction even after going trhough the withdrawals while he was in jail?

Wouldn’t people get addicted to methadone too? I know people started out believing that heroin is some kind of treatment for morphine addiction. What if methadone is the same way? I’m just really curious.

K, my 8 grade teacher gave us a assignment to write a story about something that has has happend in out lives and to research it. I was going to write and research Heroin addiction, my moms boyfriends sister was an Heroin addict and is currently in jail for steeling and RX pad out of an DR’s office she cleaned for her job and writing them. And I really don’t want to ask my mom boyfriend about it ya’ know. So if anyone could give my detailed details on the high, methods of use, withdrawals, and effects on the body, Medical uses and recreational uses, I would really appreciate it! <3 tnx n advance!
