My dad suffers from a malignant type cancer (mesothelioma), and he is on chemotherapy. It seems that everyday he becomes more angry and more agressive towards everybody. Is this due to his cancer or chemo? My mom and I are deeply saddened by his condition, but everyday he screams and yells at us for no reason. Is there something else that we can do to help him? I feel even more sorry for my mom because she is the one who receives the most insults by my dad. I see her cry everyday because of that. What can we do?

to promote equality by discussing issues that affect all of us?
If you’re not here for equality, then simply don’t respond.
I’ve grown very concerned that autism will prove to be like mesothelioma, i.e., that we will ultimately discover that autism is directly caused by some common substance (like a flame retardent or insecticide), just like mesothelioma is caused by exposure to asbestos. Get rid of asbestos and mesothelioma goes away. Get rid of XYZ substance and autism goes away.
I’m concerned that we as human beings are leaving a natural wilderness (as we cultivate civilization) only to create a new one.

I recently purchased a car and it’s been nothing but trouble since I drove it off the lot. I have a list of a dozen things now that need to be fixed. I’ve been in contact with the dealership everyother day or so and I’m completely getting the run around. If it came down to it, I’m wondering how I’m protected under the “Lemon Law.” Thanks in advance for your help!

Lemon laws are generally for new cars, not used ones.
Since you bought with no warranty, you are probably out of luck. If they won’t help you, put signs on your car and park it near the sales place.

I have been starting to see it used a flavor for increasingly more products lately. Same thing with Chiptole. It’s has also become a fad flavor within the last several years. Why is this? I don’t recall Chipotle or pomegranate being utilized or spoken of very much 5, 10, 15 + years ago.

Say I ate a huge pizza by myself, how long would it take for the pizza to contribute to my weight?
My guess has always been like an hour… but I could be dead wrong obviously.

I got a car from a used car lot and it was sold as is, its been less than a week and there might be a huge problem, I might have to get my transmission rebuilt, and where I took it in they said the transmission had been flushed and it might have been done to hide the problem… So does the ‘as is’ sale void the lemon law?

We bought a used car from a private party person in AZ – engine blew within 15 miles of leaving seller’s residence and the seller will not refund money or take any responsibility. Do we have any valid recourse?

Sorry Republicans, you got me on this one. How is dumping expensive tea and wasting it protesting government waste?
You had to buy this tea to throw it away, unlike the Boston Tea Party, so the historic iconic value is lost.

I recently bought a 2004 Chevy Malibu from a dealership with a very good reputation in my area. It only has 38,000 miles on it and I am having problem after problem. It has been back to the dealerships service department 3 times already. Everytime I take it in they tell me they can’t find anything wrong. I have to take it back and insist that something is wrong and they magically find the problem. The rack and pinion steering went out, now I have an oil leak. Do I have any legal rights, or am I just stuck with this piece of junk? I haven’t even had this car 30 days yet.

Does anyone have any information about the lemon law and exactly what one would have to do/go through in order to declare their car a lemon? I have a brand new 2006 Jetta GLI, and after about a month of owning it, it stopped…dead. I had to have it towed to Denver and they said it was just the ignition relay, but I don’t think that should be happening with a brand new car.
Has anyone had experience with the “lemon law”?

We bought a new 2008 Dodge Avenger back in May. A month ago it broke down. It has been in the shop ever since. They are currently replacing the transmission, they have already replaced two other major parts (not for sure what). It is being serviced at the place we bought it and they are horrible (no calls about it and will never give us an answer). My question is what has to happen for it to be declared a lemon. Once we get the car back does one more thing have to go wrong? Thanks

People are always asking for recipes for things you can find in a recipe book.
Or you can put it in search and find all kinds of ways to make it.
I use a recipe book a lot if I don’t know how to make something.
www.kraftfoods.com is a great site to find recipes.
Every brand name food has a web site with all sorts of recipes. They aren’t going to put a bad recipe on there for you to make.

Have you filed a claim? How long did it take? What was the outcome? Did you have any options such as, getting dealer to buy back or just get another vehicle?

so my ’07 impala sucks. I hired a lawyer, and it has been several months now.
What does it mean when my lawyer tells me that we are going to have to go into litigation proceedings? What is litigation and how long is this process, whatever it is?

Im in California and i bought a car with a warped frame, we weren’t made aware of this at the time of purchase, but it was made as is with no warranty.
so my question is, is it illegal for them to sell me a car without me being made aware of this.
i asked a CHP officer and he said it was illegal to drive with the frame crooked.

There are only a few instances where the Lemon Law covers used vehicles of any sort, and all are when they are under warranty.
No private party sales are covered under Lemon Laws. All are “as-is”.
**EDIT** — ArmySis – The key words in the question are “bought from private owner”. NO private party sales are covered under Lemon Laws. The links provided below (links to attorneys, I must add) all say the same thing: “SOME” used car sales are covered, and all have to do with purchasing from a dealer.
So, I called the attorney’s office listed… and they said “sorry, can’t help you with private party sales…”
