About 3 years ago I Financed a used Jeep Grand Cherokee from a used car dealer in NY. Within the first week the truck stalled out on me. I called the dealer and they towed it in. It was there for a couple days and found nothing wrong with it. A day after I got it back, it wouldn’t start. Same thing, they picked it up and found nothing wrong again. During the next week or so it was fine, then the check engine light comes on, the truck starts shaking substantially at idle and finally stalls again. They take take it back a third time and find nothing wrong. And this goes on and on with a bigger list of problems. Finally I filed for Lemon Law with the NYS Attorney General, they set up an arbitration meeting with me and the dealer. They wanted to settle the complaint by putting me in a vehicle of equal condition, value and performance, I agreed. Went back to dealer to choose a vehicle and they said my only option was a Kia in fair condition that was worth half the price. I then wrote back to the attorney general saying they broke the deal but never got a response. I was forced to voluntarily repossess the truck cus it was just sitting in my driveway and I wasn’t going to pay for a truck I couldn’t drive. This was 3 years ago, my credit is now in the toilet, I can’t even get a credit card and am getting hassled by collection agencies. What can I do? Can I sue? I know Its been a long time but now I’m stuck, I need my credit and it only stinks because of this.
I POSTED THIS A WHILE BACK, NOW I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHAT KIND OF LAWYERS HANDLE THESE TYPE OF CASES. ARE THERE LEMON LAW LAWYERS, I CAN’T FIND ANY.

I purchased a used 2002 Jetta about 3 months ago. Since the day I drove off the lot I’ve had nothing but problems. The greasy Slick Rick salesman wouldn’t return my messages. I then contacted the manager, but haven’t had a ton of luck with him either. One of those scenerios where they take your money and run. I’ve had the car in 4 times now. They’ve tried to charge me for a few repairs, but backed down when I said absolutely no way! The problems were existing when I purchased the car. I’m at the point of…I hate the car…I hate the dealership…I want nothing to do with the situation anymore. I know it doesn’t fall under the lemon law because I purchased it used. Have you ever been in this situation? Do you have any suggestions? Do I need to call an attorney or the Better Business Bureau?

So, I’m 24 junior year of college doing B.S. in communications. I never really knew what I wanted to do so I’ve always stuck with banking because the pay is decent and benefits are better. I always write letters for my friends who may have trouble with with something and need a letter to explain a problem or seeking payment from someone…..you know like a lawyer would write. I was recently thinking how I would really ENJOY being an attorney, but specifically an attorney that deals with “lemon law”. You know, like purchasing a new car and everything going wrong with it, so you need a lemon law attorney.
What steps do I need to take to becoming an attorney that deals with lemon law? I’m 24, do you think it’s too late to study law? How long will it take me?

I bought a used car from a dealer in Syracuse, NY with a bad transmission. It is a 93 LeBaron with 135,000 miles on it. It drove off the lot OK then the transmission went a few miles later. He’s been “working on it” for OVER 2 MONTHS!! He continues to delay me with new excuses every week. He won’t give me my money back and yet he won’t admit the car is no good. Other than the NY State DMV, Attorney General and the Better Business Bureau are there any other sources besides a lawyer to ask for help?

have only ever flown QANTAS once before, and it was a 16 hour flight. I am now flying from Hobart to Melbourne (4.50pm-6.00pm) and then Melbourne to Canberra (7.00pm-8.05pm) Will I get dinner or snacks on these short flights, as well as drinks, etc.

Its not about best food, drink or vitamins. Its all about your diet habits.
Starting your day with a hearty breakfast will do wonders to your metabolism rate.
Your metabolism rate is based on several factors, including age, gender, amount of muscle versus fat, and activity level. Here are some things that you can do to increase your metabolism rate:
Step One:
Get into a regular exercise program. Exercise at least 30 minutes a day, five days a week.
Step Two:
Do aerobic exercise such as walking, biking or using a stair-climbing machine for at least 30 minutes.

If your workout was intense and lasted longer than 30 minutes, you may continue to burn up to 50 percent of the calories you burned during the exercise itself.
Be wary of products that claim to speed up your metabolism.
Avoid crash weight-loss programs. You tend to put the weight right back on, and the programs may be unsafe.

Someone told me there is a law that if something major goes wrong within 3 days, the dealer is responsible for fixing it…is this true? We bought a car and within four hours the transmission went out, and it will cost a thousand dollars to fix, what can I do?

Its worth pointing out that ‘Use By’ dates are for highly perishable foods – those that ‘go off’ quite quickly. It is illegal to sell or possess for sale food past its ‘Use By’ date, whatever its condition.
‘Best Before’ dates are for foods with a longer life and indicate how long the food will be at its best quality. Although it is not necessarily an offence to sell or possess for sale food past its ‘Best Before’ date, it is poor practice and may also be an offence if the food is found to be unfit or it does not meet food safety requirements.

I purchased 2000 Dodge Dakota pickup 5 months ago. I paid 5400 cash at a car lot. I wasnt told about the lemon law or any problems that the truck had. 3 months ago I had the oil changed and there was a crack on the transfer case, which can be very dangerous if I continued to drive. I tried to patch the transfer case myself, no luck. Am I available for a refund or is there anything I can do? Ive only put 7000 miles on it. Any help is appreciated.

I have been taking medicine, but that doesnt really help the pain of my throat at all times, and when i cough it kills, any suggestions? I tried warm tea, which helped alittle. any others?

Hi, there!
With respect to ‘fat burning foods,’ there are three key ideas about nutrition to understand. Namely, the ‘thermic effect’ of food, how to boost your metabolic rate, and the order of macronutrients your body prefers to use.
The three macronutrients of food are proteins, fats, and carbohydrates. However, the caloric cost for your body to use them significantly differs.
In relation to the thermic effect of food, refined (processed) carbohydrates and fats have about a 3% rate, which means that it requires only about 3 calories for your body to use (burn) 100 calories of refined carbohydrates and fats. By that, they are not considered fat burning foods.
Some natural (unprocessed) carbohydrates have about a 20% rate.
Proteins, however, have up to a 30% rate! So, they are considered the best fat burning foods.
Moreover, some proteins are even better than others are. We can call those super-charged proteins!
So, in terms of its thermic effect, protein has twice the power because your body must work harder to process proteins than to process either fats or carbs. (Drinking plenty of water helps your body do this.)
So, eating specific proteins can significantly rev up your metabolism and they are considered the best fat burning foods.

I brought a 2005 Mercury Sable LS Premium 2 months ago and now the transmission has gone out. It has 63,000 mile on it. I brought it from a large dealer (Chuck Fairbanks Chevrolet). Can some one tell me what the lemon law is in TX and where I can go to find the info, I’ve already tried Google but it didn’t give me the info I need. I am 145 lbs. I plan on going and buying whey protein powder for before and after the workout. I also plan on buying fruits for before and after the workout, such as apples, bananas, and oranges. Does anyone know the intake for the most succesful results.
